City Hall Project Gets Green Light

Dec 2007

It was recently announced that Graham will undertake a major refurbishment of Belfast City Hall commencing November 2007 with a proposed completion date of August 2009.

This prestigious project, on this Grade B listed building further cements Graham’s presence in the centre of Belfast with projects currently underway at landmark buildings such as The Ulster Hall (Phase 2) and the bedroom extension at the Europa Hotel.

The Belfast City Hall project, valued in the region of £9.5m will involve the upgrading of the existing roof covering including slating, lead and roof dormers.  Internally the project entails new heating, mechanical and electrical installations throughout, fire compartmentation within roof areas, re-decoration generally including plaster nodes and decorative gilding.  External works will include the scrubbing of the courtyard, the installation of a new water feature and the reinstatement of car parking facilities.

The project also further strengthens our relationship with Consarc Environmental as the project is under the stewardship of Dawson Stelfox, with whom Graham are currently undertaking the Ulster Hall project.
