Broomielaw and Tradeston Public Realm and Quay Walls

This project was part of Glasgow City Council’s master plan for the regeneration of the Broomielaw and Tradeston areas of Central Glasgow.
The project involved the construction of a new sheet piled quay wall (250m) at Tradeston, 20m into the River Clyde beyond the original wall, stabilisation of Broomielaw sheet pile quay wall (400m) including new tie rods, placing additional rock armour and construct new pile cap, upgrade works to the Linear Parks North (880m2) and South (500m2) of the river, including new street lighting, parapet rails, bollards, street furniture, block paving.
The project had to be completed in a phased manner to allow the area to remain accessible to both pedestrians and the Harbour Police.
