Dargan Bridge

Taney, Dublin

This project involved construction of the first cable stay bridge to be completed in Ireland.

The 180m long, 50m high bridge is supported via a reinforced concrete pylon and abutments on piles. It incorporates pre-cast concrete segmental deck units, prefabricated off site which were erected during overnight road closures, infilled with concrete and then stressed.

This deck construction was proposed by us as an alternative to the Clients design, and offered considerable cost and time savings.
