We have completed a £1.4m state-of-the-art fit-out of U105's office and broadcasting studio at the company's new premises in City Quays 2, Belfast.

The parent company of U105 has confirmed that this is now one of the best broadcasting studios within their Group, with regards to their acoustic elements and performance.

Eoin King, Project Manager, GRAHAM, discusses the transformation of the 10,500 sq ft space:

"One of the world's largest media firms appointed GRAHAM to deliver this £1.4m office and broadcasting facility at its new state-of-the-art space in City Quays 2, the latest development to complete as part of Belfast Harbour’s £250m regeneration scheme.

"The project, which started in September 2017, involved the creation of three broadcasting studios, an associated IT/transmission room, a reception and vending area, meeting rooms, and office space for both U105 and the digital businesses, Simply Zesty and Tibus.

"Our in-house design team developed the design of this project from its initial conception and managed it through to completion. We worked closely with an acoustic consultant carrying out acoustic testing throughout the build. This allowed us to assess quality and be certain that the finished product not only met but exceeded our client’s expectations."

Peter McVerry, Station Manager, U105 comments on the project:

"We wanted to create a purpose-built state of the art broadcasting space that would ensure we continue to deliver a premium service while supporting the company's wider development plans. GRAHAM has delivered on our vision. In fact, this is the best performing studio within the Group in terms of acoustics and functionality. We are absolutely delighted with the results.”
