GRAHAM Construction Launches Civils Graduate Development Programme
Programme launched as part the GRAHAM Academy.
GRAHAM Construction has launched its Civils Graduate Development Programme as part of an ongoing commitment to the development of staff within the GRAHAM Academy.
At a launch event, graduates were given the opportunity to hear from colleagues who are currently working towards ICE and RICS Chartership and were provided with advice on how to successfully manage Chartership workload and achieve a healthy work/life balance.
On top of the ILM endorsed modules which the graduates will study over the next 2 years, they were also encouraged to register with the Best Practice Hub and complete the "Introduction to the Considerate Constructors Scheme" e-learning course. Each month the registered graduates complete a different module (eg) ‘Vulnerable Road Users’ and ‘Respect the Community’, which is also recorded as part of their continual professional development. These e-learning courses provide a range of benefits and an overall awareness of the importance of following the Code of Considerate Practice. Over 80 individual modules have now been completed equating to 3600 hours of e-Learning.
The graduates also met with Executive Chairman, Michael Graham, who urged them to participate in the programme 100% and to get as much from their construction industry careers as possible.
The GRAHAM Academy is home to a range of entry level programmes for young people. It provides the building blocks for careers within the construction industry, facilitating learning and on-the-job skills with nationally recognised qualifications.
