With an average 87% ‘first fix’ rate in the completion of over 8,500 reactive jobs per annum, we provide extensive support to the University of the West of England, Bristol (UWE Bristol) in achieving its core purpose of “advancing knowledge, inspiring people, transforming lives”. Tendered as four separate lots, our established reputation in the education sector ensured that we were awarded all four lots for the provision of a Hard FM solution that includes planned/preventative and reactive maintenance and minor works services across a vast 88 hectares estate of three main campuses, comprising of 167 buildings.
Consistently exceeding the parameters of an overall contract KPI target of 84%, our designated on-site team, and relevant trade suppliers, complete over 7000 Reactive, PPM and Remedial Works orders, including Out of Hours Services, per annum in compliance with current regulations, ACOPs and the University’s own procedures.
Seamlessly transferring 20 staff through a diligent TUPE process, provided the foundations for this successful contract, which has accommodated extensive additional Ad-Hoc Refurbishment/Modification Works. Notable examples include the refurbishment of the Great Hall changing unit and the Gower Room within Fulton House.
A lasting relationship has been forged through the creation of a defined communications strategy that enables the formal discussion, and resolution, of potential issues with representatives from across the University’s estate. Informally, our open door policy fastens this client relationship and ensures the smooth running of contract operations. Adding further value to the University’s expectations, we provide comprehensive assistance during the external third party SHEQ Audits, which take place annually.
