GRAHAM is sponsoring two new ICE Quest Scholars embarking on a rewarding career in civil engineering.
We are delighted to welcome David Clifton from the University of Sheffield and Aliya Whittaker from the University of Leeds to our civil engineering business. The Scholarship includes a bursary throughout the undergraduate degree as well as work placement opportunities during summer and placement year.
Our talented duo have also been enrolled into our GRAHAM Academy Programme and will be given the opportunity to put theory into practice at some of our most high-profile civil engineering projects.
GRAHAM has enjoyed a long association with the Institution of Civil Engineers and are fully committed to the Quest Scholarship Programme, which continues to provide “life changing” opportunities to the next generation of civil engineers.
Since 2013, we have supported 11 ICE QUEST Scholars, a clear demonstration of our commitment to attracting and developing new talent to the industry as Leo Martin, GRAHAM Managing Director – Civil Engineering, explains:
“On behalf of GRAHAM, I want to extend a warm welcome to both David and Aliya, and I look forward to seeing their passion for civil engineering develop and grow with us; enabling their new ideas to enhance our business. The ICE QUEST Scholarship Programme offers the scholars the chance to realise their ambitions and us, the sponsoring business, an opportunity to tap into new talent. They get to work with leading contractors, like GRAHAM, who understand the wider impact of infrastructure and how civil engineers really make a difference. We continue to be very proud of our long-running and successful collaboration with the ICE.”
