The last of four new housing developments, currently being developed in partnership with North Ayrshire Council, has been agreed with hub South West, the public-private partnership of local authorities, NHS, blue light services.

The £12m project at St Michael’s Wynd, Kilwinning, is being delivered for North Ayrshire Council by its development partner Hub South West, and GRAHAM has been appointed as the main contractor.

The development will comprise of 10 supported living residences, 24 sheltered housing residences, 38 two-bedroom, 5 three-bedroom and 2 four-bedroom homes.

Michael McBrearty, Chief Executive of hub South West said: “We are pleased to embark upon this important social housing project with North Ayrshire Council with GRAHAM Group as the main contractor.

“This project will bring much-needed, high-quality supported housing accommodation to the people of Kilwinning and North Ayrshire and we trust the end result will represent a development of which we will all be proud.”

Craig Bridges, GRAHAM Strategic Business Director, said: “We are pleased to be working once again with hub South West on behalf of North Ayrshire Council, and are looking forward to getting work under way in the coming weeks to deliver these much-needed homes and to support local contractors during a difficult time.”

Work will get under way on the development in September 2020 and is expected to be complete by early Spring 2022.
