Steelworks progressing at Down High School Campus

Steelworks progressing at Down High School Campus image

Steelwork is now well underway and it’s easy to visualise the scale of this fantastic new education facility that will be handed over in Spring 2025.

The new £33m state-of-the art campus is being built on a site along Strangford Road in Downpatrick. It’s an area of particular importance to the GRAHAM team as a number of our employees live in the local community and some in fact went to Down High School in their youth.

Gary Holmes, Regional Managing Director for the GRAHAM Building North region, added:

“It is fantastic that we can be involved in delivering a best in class education facility that will mean so much to both our team and the local community.”

The campus will deliver modern classrooms and learning spaces, a sports hall, PE facilities and sports pitches; catering for up to 950 pupils.

Located in one of Northern Ireland’s oldest towns, the site sits at the heart of the local community, surrounded by rolling hills and in an area steeped in history.
