Blashford Tower is one of five towers on the Chalcots Estate in Camden. The Chalcots Estate is a council housing estate on Adelaide Road/Fellows Road. Originally built in the late 1960’s, Blashford Tower consists of 19-storey block and 73 individual homes.
Works will consist of installing new cladding, windows and curtain wall, as well as making other safety improvements that are identified during the design phase. Blashford will be the first tower on the estate to commence with recladding projects which will address safety concerns in line with national concern.
Works will be delivered in two phases. Surveys and investigations conducted during the first phase will inform the final design and plans. The second phase is when construction takes place.
