About the framework

UoG Lot 3 Framework

University of Glasgow framework Lot 3 has been established to deliver projects valued more than £7 million over the next six years. GRAHAM have been appointed to deliver Lot 3, works will include the design / construction of new build projects and extensive refurbishments across the University’s estate encompassing offices, student accommodation, laboratories, and teaching spaces. Typical services could include asbestos removal, backlog maintenance, M&E installations, stone repairs, cladding repairs, fire safety, landscaping.

GRAHAM has played an integral role in shaping the University’s modern and dynamic campus as it stands today, having worked with the University for nearly 20 years. Our relationship with the University started as far back as 2007 when we began the construction of an award winning (RIAS ‘Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland Award’ 2009), world-class centre for veterinary medicine – Small Animal Hospital (£10.8M). A decade on and we remained a key partner of the University through our consistent, quality delivery of projects emanating from its Minor Works Framework Agreement between 2015 and 2019. In support of Professor Andrew Tobin’s ground-breaking research into neurodegenerative diseases, we applied a multi-phased approach to the £3.5m refurbishment and redevelopment of the Davidson and West Medical Buildings (which form part of the Institute of Molecular, Cell and Systems Biology). Through close collaboration with the University’s estates department, and researchers/academics, we seamlessly handed over completed sections in three stages throughout the 12-month scheme. A phased approach was also implemented for the Kelvin Data Centre, as we constructed a fit-for purpose data centre to accommodate the University’s Scot-Grid servers, the School of I.T. and additional corporate I.T. systems. We also provided links to other critical switch rooms and completed associated grounds and infrastructure works, including mains services.
