We recently attended an event organised by the Career Transition Partnership (CTP), the official resettlement service for the Armed Forces.
CTP Employment Fairs, held across the UK, attract hundreds of service leavers each year, offering a unique and meaningful opportunity to support their transition into civilian careers. These events connect highly skilled individuals with employers eager to tap into the exceptional talent emerging from the Armed Forces.
With over 14,000 personnel leaving the military annually, their fully funded recruitment service provides employers with no-cost access to a motivated, disciplined, and capable workforce. From Commercial Directors who drive strategic transformation to expert tradespeople with hands-on experience, service leavers bring a wealth of transferable skills to every level of business.
For many, this marks their first step into the civilian job market and they may be unfamiliar with corporate norms or language. This is why these fairs are so valuable—they create a space for genuine connection.
At the event in York, we had the opportunity to meet candidates face-to-face, understand their unique strengths, and align those capabilities with our current hiring needs. It’s more than recruitment—it’s about building futures.
