GRAHAM has been appointed by the DfE to deliver the new Oasis Academy school in Bristol. Oasis Academy Temple Quarter will be a new state-of-the-art mainstream secondary school located in Temple Quarter, Bristol.
Designed to accommodate 1,600 pupils, the project is a significant step forward in providing high-quality education facilities for the local community. GRAHAM are delighted to commence the construction of this project in September 2025, with an opening date forecast for September 2027.
The scheme led by GRAHAM, will include the creation of a modern main school building alongside the conversion of a smaller existing listed building, known as the boiler shop, which will be transformed into the school’s new sports hall. In total, the school will provide a Gross Internal Floor Area (GIFA) of 12,182m2 and will ensure a vibrant and functional hub for pupils. Alongside this, as part of a wider masterplan, planning has also been secured across adjacent plots which will include the development of residential, commercial, research and enterprise and student accommodation.
The new school has been carefully designed to provide an inspiring learning environment, combining facilities with spaces that support student wellbeing and foster a strong sense of community. Once complete, the school will not only meet the growing demand for school places but will also create a lasting legacy for future generations of learners in Bristol.
