GRAHAM has raised £21,445 through a golf day, held as part of its partnership with end-of-life charity, Marie Curie.
The charity has been voted one of the construction firm’s five charity partners by the civil engineering division for the second year running. The fundraising efforts saw GRAHAM host a charity golf day at Clandeboye Golf Club, which brought together 19 four-ball teams from their supply chain.
The golf day, which took place on 3 July, celebrated a high point in fundraising efforts and brought together both organisations to celebrate the ongoing partnership.

Staff also joined Marie Curie’s Beat the Mournes challenge, which saw them partake in an 18-mile hike through Northen Ireland’s mountain range in June. The total money raised adds to the two years of sustained fundraising efforts by teams across the company. Other efforts saw employees running the Belfast Marathon, competing in charity football tournaments, and hosting coffee mornings and bake-offs to support the hospice charity’s work.
Marie Curie provides care and support for people living with terminal illnesses across Northern Ireland and the wider UK, providing at-home support and hospice care for those who need it most.
Robert Laverty, Pre-Construction Director for GRAHAM said: “At GRAHAM, we’re committed to giving something back to the communities we operate in, and our golf day has become one of the most enjoyable ways we do that. It’s a great opportunity to bring partners, clients and colleagues together to raise funds that allow charities to continue their life-changing work.”
Anne Hannan, Partnership Manager at Marie Curie, said: “We are incredibly grateful to everyone at GRAHAM, as well as their stakeholders and suppliers, who came together to support our end-of-life care services across Northern Ireland. Their generosity and commitment have helped raise a phenomenal amount of money, which will make a meaningful difference to the patients and families we support”.
