It’s not every day you see a yoga class happening on a construction site!
Irn Bru held a surprise yoga session at Central Quay last week as part of a campaign to launch their new Ice Cream flavoured soft drink.
As part of the launch, Mr Softie is hitting the road in a specially kitted out IRN-BRU ice-cream van, travelling across the UK encouraging people to get in touch with their softer side.
The session provided an opportunity for the team to step away from day-to-day site activity and focus on wellbeing, highlighting the importance of taking time to recharge in a demanding working environment.
Glagsow yogi (Jacks Keith) led the GRAHAM team in a variety of poses and stretches while Irn Bru’s mascot Mr Softie looked on.
Kenny Nicholson, Director of Brand at IRN-BRU, said:
“It’s not every day you see a construction site turn into a yoga class, but that’s Mr Softie all over.
“He might look like he’s made from girders, but he’s here to show there’s more to IRN-BRU than just the tough exterior.
Scott Bannatyne, Site Manager at GRAHAM Construction – who took part in the session – added:
“When I got on site today, I didn’t expect to be met by Mr Softie and his ice cream truck. It was a great laugh and loads of the team got involved.
“He seemed to take a liking to me but not sure if that means my yoga was good or terrible. Either way, it was a welcome break in a busy week.”
