Lewis Churchard’s Career Journey

Solihull Success Story

Working with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council for over 10 years, we’re proud to continue that journey under a new strategic partnership to deliver full Hard FM services.

Lewis Churchard’s story is an example of what this partnership has made possible. From apprentice joiner to minor works supervisor, his growth reflects the opportunities we create when we invest in our people.

Lewis joined our GRAHAM Facilities Management division at 21 as a joinery apprentice on our first contract with Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council.

We’ve proudly partnered with Solihull for over 10 years, and Lewis’s journey began right at the heart of it.

Recognised as “multi-skilled,” Lewis took on more responsibility, completed SMSTS training and fire door certification, and in April 2025, became a Minor Works Supervisor.

“Management saw something in me – that means a lot.”

“Lewis has made a smooth transition from Joiner to Supervisor. He’s shown dedication, eagerness to learn, and I have no doubt he’ll keep progressing.”
— Josie Batson, Manager

Now working on the new Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council contract, Lewis is living proof that when people are supported, they succeed!
