Friday 22nd August marked a major milestone for Oxford Street as the newly refurbished M&S Pantheon Foodhall officially opened its doors to the public. Delivered by GRAHAM Interior Fit-Out, this launch represents the successful completion of Phase 1 of a wider transformation project to renew the entire store.
A New Flagship for M&S Food
The Foodhall spans 20,000 sq ft of space and introduces a vibrant, modern retail experience for London shoppers. Key features include:
- Hot food counters offering fresh chicken, sourdough pizza, sushi, and baked goods
- A coffee shop serving up iced lattes and more
- A curated British gifting section showcasing local treats and souvenirs
- A sleek, contemporary layout designed to elevate the customer journey
A Site Steeped in History
The Pantheon has long been a landmark on Oxford Street. Originally opened in 1772 as one of London’s grand assembly rooms, it later became a bazaar and a wine merchant before being transformed into a Marks & Spencer flagship in 1938. The building’s iconic Art Deco façade, designed by Robert Lutyens, remains a defining feature of the site.
With this latest transformation, the Pantheon continues its legacy as a hub of retail innovation, now reimagined for the modern shopper.
Delivered by GRAHAM Interior Fit-Out
GRAHAM Interior Fit-Out was proud to lead the delivery of this complex and high-profile project. Working within a live environment in one of London’s busiest retail districts, the team overcame significant logistical and design challenges to bring the Foodhall to life.
Project leads including Carl Hudson, Sean McNiff, Jez Bullman, Nikhil Patel, and Liam McElroy played a key role in ensuring the space was completed to the highest standards, ready for launch.
“It’s amazing what you can achieve with the right team and supply chain. This was a rollercoaster journey for the construction team, but the results speak for themselves,” said, Mark McAloon, GRAHAM Interior Fit-Out Project Manager.
What’s Next?
With Phase 1 now complete, GRAHAM is already moving into Phase 2, which will see the renewal of the Fashion, Home & Beauty departments. The transformation continues, and we’re excited to keep delivering excellence at every stage.
