Skydivers Brave New Heights to Smash Fundraising Target

GRAHAM Charity skydive

A team of GRAHAM employees has raised £11,700 for Glasgow Children’s Hospital Charity (GCHC) after completing two skydives in Auchterarder, Scotland.

The 19-strong team from GRAHAM’s Building division surpassed its £10,000 target, with the cash set to fund two mobile sensory units for young patients experiencing long stays in hospital.

A year of fundraising

The skydives are the latest in a year of fundraising activities to raise funds for GCHC. Last December, the company donated £10,000 and held several festive initiatives, including a Christmas Jumper Day, a tombola, and a bake sale, raising a further £600. Staff also volunteered at the hospital’s Santa’s grotto, with six employees donning elf costumes to help spread festive cheer.

GCHC supports thousands of families every year, funding medical equipment, family support services, and enhancements to hospital facilities.

Mobile sensory units

Chris MacLeod, regional director at GRAHAM, said, “Passing our £10,000 fundraising target and reaching over £11,700 is an excellent outcome. The support from colleagues, families and partners has been vital in helping us achieve this. Funding two mobile sensory units will provide a real benefit for children under the care of GCHC, and we hope that the donation will make a lasting impact on both the children and their families.”
