The Eton Sports and Aquatic Centre (ESAC) is a flagship sports facility designed to support Eton College’s commitment to sporting excellence, health and wellbeing.
Constructed on the site of the former outdoor swimming pool, the 3,668m², three-storey development provides high-quality facilities for Eton College pupils, partner schools and the wider community. Featuring a competition-standard swimming pool, multi-purpose sports hall and flexible teaching and social spaces, the centre combines award-winning design, sustainability and adaptability to create a world-class sporting environment.
Project Detail
GRAHAM successfully delivered the Eton Sports and Aquatic Centre (ESAC), creating a modern, adaptable facility that meets the needs of pupils, partner schools and the wider community.
The project combined innovative design solutions with modern methods of construction, including extensive use of Glulam timber and Cross Laminated Timber (CLT), to enhance sustainability and programme efficiency.
Developed on a live educational campus, the facility was carefully designed to support a wide range of sporting, educational and community uses while providing safe, accessible and flexible spaces that can evolve to meet future requirements.
