Project Summary
We were proud to be appointed to deliver a significant refurbishment of The Berkshire Golf Club’s historic clubhouse – an exclusive venue known for its heritage and exceptional member experience. The project aimed to modernise the facility while preserving its traditional character, ensuring that the clubhouse continues to meet the expectations of its members and guests for years to come.
Our Interior Fit-Out team led the transformation, delivering a high-quality upgrade that enhanced both the front-of-house and back-of-house areas. The result is a refreshed, functional, and elegant space that supports the club’s operations and elevates the overall experience for everyone who visits.
Project Detail
The refurbishment involved a comprehensive scope of works. We fully renovated the lounge, bar, and dining areas to create a welcoming and contemporary environment that still reflects the club’s classic aesthetic. Structural alterations were made to the rear façade, where we installed a seamless glazed system that now offers panoramic views across the golf course, enhancing the visual connection between the interior and the surrounding landscape.
Upstairs, we refurbished the first-floor staff accommodation to improve comfort and functionality for the team. In the kitchen and servery, we installed new commercial-grade equipment to support the club’s catering operations. Behind the scenes, we also delivered significant infrastructure upgrades to ensure the long-term efficiency and resilience of the facility.
Delivering this project in a live environment presented a unique challenge. We worked closely with the club and the wider project team to carefully plan and phase the works, ensuring minimal disruption to daily operations. Throughout the programme, we maintained access for members and guests and avoided any impact on scheduled tournaments. Thanks to this collaborative approach, we met all key deadlines ahead of the busy spring and summer seasons.
We were pleased to work alongside a talented and experienced project team, including Fitzsimons (Project Management and Quantity Surveying), Unwin Jones Partnership (Architects), Helen Hooper (Interior Design), Thornley & Lumb (M&E), and Axiom (Drainage and Structures Consultants).
