Curtis Pollock
Site Engineer
I joined GRAHAM as a Year-Out Student in 2020, initially working on the Enabling works for what is now the Belfast Grand Central Station.
I was privileged to be jointly awarded the Harry McMullen Award at the end of my placement year which recognised my contribution throughout the year. Subsequently, I was sponsored by GRAHAM to complete my master’s in civil engineering at Queen’s University Belfast.
I returned as a Graduate Engineer in 2023 and have since been furthering my skills and experience through the civils graduate program which has enabled me to develop to my full potential as I seek to progress my career and work towards ICE accreditation to become a chartered civil engineer.

Project Quantity Surveyor
I am a Quantity Surveyor at GRAHAM, having begun as a trainee in June 2021 while studying at Heriot-Watt University. I advanced to Assistant QS in April 2023, and then to Quantity Surveyor in October 2024. I hold a 1st Class degree in GA construction and the built environment. My experience includes working on projects like Gorgie Road, Boroughmuir High School, and Abbey Lane in Edinburgh. I’ve represented GRAHAM at events such as the Young Person Forum and Scottish Apprenticeship Week. I was a finalist for Graduate of the Year at the CIOB Scotland Awards 2024. I’m currently working towards my chartership, building on my role’s development and career progression.

Regional Quality Manager
I joined GRAHAM as a Graduate Site Engineer, I spent 2 years in this role before moving to the quality team and over the last 6 years have gone from Quality Engineer to Manager, to now Regional Quality Manager. During this time, and alongside the technical training I have received, I have completed 2 levels of the ILM qualification, as well as participated in our leadership programme for women – IGNITE which has given me the opportunity to develop my skills ahead of progressing through the business. In addition to my day-to-day job, I now also lead on our Women in Civil Engineering Network which is something I would have not been able to do without the leadership training I have received.
