GRAHAM has been appointed to YORbuild Major Works 2, a £1.5bn framework designed to improve communities across Yorkshire, the Humber, and surrounding regions.
The appointment marks GRAHAM’s first inclusion on the framework. Forming part of the wider YOR Framework family, alongside YORCivil and YORConsult, the YORbuild Major Works 2 framework provides public and third-sector organisations with a faster, more efficient route to accessing skilled contractors, enabling the delivery of better buildings and creating stronger local economies for the communities they serve.
YORbuild Major Works 2 covers a range of major building projects valued over £10m, including new build, refurbishment, contractor design, decarbonisation, and maintenance contracts.
As well as serving Yorkshire and the Humber, it will also cover projects in the North East, Lincolnshire, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and parts of Leicestershire. GRAHAM joins Lot 2 of the framework, which will provide access to building projects valued at more than £30 million, representing an estimated £225 million of work per year.
The appointment reflects GRAHAM’s extensive experience in delivering major infrastructure projects across the region and its proven track record in successfully managing schemes of this scale and complexity. GRAHAM’s Civil Engineering division is a member of the YORcivil Framework and is currently delivering the Jock’s Lodge project through the framework.
Roseanne Edge, National Framework Director at GRAHAM, said: “GRAHAM has a long-standing track record of delivering major construction projects across Yorkshire and the surrounding regions, and this appointment reflects the experience, expertise and local knowledge we have built over many years working in these communities.
“Frameworks such as YORbuild play a vital role in helping public and third-sector organisations deliver projects that make a meaningful difference to the places and people they serve. We are pleased to be joining the framework for the first time and look forward to working closely with framework partners to identify opportunities where we can add value and support the successful delivery of these ambitions.”
YORbuild Major Works 2 is now live and replaces the previous YORbuild3 Major Works framework. It complements the YORbuild3 Medium Works and Minor Works frameworks, which remain in place until 2028. The framework will run for a period of four years, with an option to extend for a further two years.
